MUSIC APPRECIATION
Wednesdays, 3–4 pm, SFC
This month we’ll finish our study of late ’60s Rock and Roll and begin our study of Traditional American Music, examining the music of America from 1776 through the middle of the 20th century. We'll learn about the origin and development of folk and patriotic tunes that helped shape our country, such as “Yankee Doodle,” “The Old Oaken Bucket,” “Red River Valley,” “Rock Island Line,” “Kisses Sweeter Than Wine,” “My Old Kentucky Home,” and others.
Join instructors Ann and Lee Strong in person at the Scriba Family Center and simultaneously on Zoom.
